Current Events #1.1 (practice)

Officials of UT removed some historical markers from the campus as a way to make it a more friendly place for all individuals. Some of the inscriptions could be offensive to African American students because of how they are tied with the Confederate South.

Ryan Lockte has been charged with falsely filing a robbery report. In brazil, the penalty for falsely reporting a crime could be up to 18 months in prison. Lockte had initially stated that him and a few fellow swimmers were robbed at gunpoint, but there is no evidence to show this is true. Security camera footage show they were confronted by security guards. Lockte has admitted he was very intoxicated, but he has yet to face the charge.

I would want to own the USB charging station, so I wouldn't run out of battery if I don't have access to an outlet.

6. Long Response

I don't think it is fair that the costs of EpiPens are going up so much. They are life-saving necessities for people with bad allergies, and it s not fair that the people who can't afford them are putting themselves at risk. There should definitely be a limit on the pricing of these items. I feel like Mylan is being selfish in this situation, considering he is taking such a high percentage of the profit as his own income. In my opinion, the businesses who own the patents should be able to set the price, but a higher authority should limit how much they are sold for.
